The YMCA of the Suncoast recently brought together supporters, friends and community leaders for A Look Inside; an exclusive event centered on the impact we can make together.
This year's event had a fun and creative twist. The evening took on a late-night television feel, using Jason Dukas, YMCA Advisory Council member and Tampa's own Charley Belcher, feature reporter for Good Day Tampa Bay - the two leading the program in a talk show-style format that kept the audience engaged, laughing and inspired.
From the stage setup to the flow of the program, every detail leaned into the theme even down to the auction paddles, which featured iconic late-night hosts through the years. It created a relaxed, entertaining atmosphere while still shining a light on the powerful work happening across the YMCA of the Suncoast.
Throughout the evening, guests got a closer look at how the Y is making a difference in the community every day. And when it came time to give, they showed up in a big way.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone in the room, the YMCA of the Suncoast reached its fundraising goal.
“All proceeds from A Look Inside help ensure that everyone in our community, regardless of their financial situation, has access to the programs and support they need to thrive,” said Joanna Castle, Vice President of Philanthropy for the YMCA of the Suncoast. “Because of this generosity, we’re able to keep our doors open to everyone in our community and create opportunities for more families to belong, grow and succeed.”
Because of the funds raised, more individuals and families will have access to YMCA programs like membership, swim lessons, youth sports, summer camp and healthy living programs — the kinds of opportunities that truly change lives.
More kids will gain confidence in the water. More families will find a place to connect. More people will have the support they need to live healthier lives.
A Look Inside was more than just a night out; it was a celebration of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave generously and helped make the night so special. Because of you, the Y can continue to serve more people and strengthen our community every day.
