Our MASH (Mainstream Adults Sharing Hope) program for adults with cognitive, physical, or emotional challenges has been serving community members 18 years of age and older for nearly two decades.
This program is free to full members. The fee for basic members is $20 per month or $240 a year.
Our goal is to help build confidence for these members so they wish to belong to the Y and their greater community. Significant financial assistance is given to these individuals who wish to have a FULL YMCA membership and grow further in spirit, mind, and body.
We generally meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month for a special activity from 7 to 9 p.m. at our North Pinellas Y. These activities could include:
-games and challenges
-arts and crafts
Here's some of our upcoming events:
December 8 – REINDEER 5K RUN – 8:30-10 a.m. at John Chesnut Sr. Park. This is our annual fundraiser for MASH! We will meet at 8 a.m. at our designated spot to cheer on the participants and form our MASH team for the walk (whoever would like to do so can join us). This is how we pay for all our fun activities so we really need you to come out and show everyone why MASH is so important to us!
December 14 – MASH Gift Exchange & End-of-Year Wrap Up Let’s celebrate our year together with a Goofy Gift Exchange! Everyone bring a WRAPPED new or gently- used item to add to the gift pile. Focus on funny, cute, or ridiculous (keep value between $1-10 max)! The point is to make the recipient SMILE when they open it!. 😊 We’ll reminisce about the amazing year we’ve had together and brainstorm our ideas for 2019!
December 28 – No Meeting Happy Holidays! (See you in the New Year!)
