Summer Camp at the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA.

Summer camp is in full swing across our YMCA of the Suncoast Association! It’s a magical time of year when children spend their days immersed in activities that spark growth, ignite creativity and build lifelong friendships from sunup to sundown.

Our camps are designed to be safe, supportive spaces where kids can explore their interests and discover new passions in a nurturing environment. Each day brings fresh adventures that blend fun and learning.

Recently, campers from our Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA and Citrus County School Age Programs enjoyed an exciting and educational afternoon with the one and only Science Guy! The two camps came together at Citrus Springs Middle School for a mind-boggling science experience.

Through a series of dramatic but completely safe chemical demonstrations, the Science Guy brought the wonders of science to life. Campers watched in awe as ordinary substances transformed, sparking curiosity and enthusiastic questions. It was a perfect blend of learning and entertainment and a great way to inspire a love for STEM in young minds.

We are proud to offer our campers these unique and fun learning opportunities in addition to the traditional day camp activities. Physical activity and play are central to the summer camp experience at the YMCA.

Whether swimming, playing team sports, or trying new games, campers stay active and build teamwork and sportsmanship. Arts and crafts sessions allow them to express their individuality and bring their imaginations to life through painting, sculpting and other creative projects.

At the YMCA of the Suncoast, we believe summer is a time for growth, discovery and joy. We have an exciting summer full of fun activities and meaningful experiences planned for our campers, and we hope you’ll give them a warm welcome when you see them throughout our YMCA facilities. Be sure to follow their journeys on social media as they make memories and embark on new adventures all summer long!
