Anonymous donor pledges to match every dollar donated

At the YMCA, we care about children in our communities and want them to succeed. Often times, when teens are continuously left unsupervised, their "Idle Hands" are likely to become easy targets and they may channel their energy toward misbehavior.

These potential risks are why we have the Teen Achievers Camp at the High Point YMCA. The camp gives teens between the ages of 13 and 17, a place to go where they can gain valuable life skills that will help to shape their bright futures.

Achievers Camp gives teens in the High Point community the ability to gain confidence in a caring and structured environment that helps them become healthy, engaging and highly contributory adults in the future. If you would like to donate and help teens shape their futures, now is the time. An anonymous donor has pledged to match every dollar donated with two.

The kindness and generosity of this anonymous donor means that every one dollar donated will turn into three and the Achievers Camp will be able to flourish and positively impact the High Point community even more than it has in the past.

Where will your donation go?

•             $20 = Transportation for career awareness and local college tours

•             $35 = One year teen membership to YMCA

•             $50 = Educational speaker session

•             $100 = One teen for one week of camp

•             $250 = Career awareness and local college tours

•             $1,000 = Entire Achiever’s Camp program for the summer

Although donations are appreciated and accepted all year round, the anonymous donor has pledged to match ever dollar only until July 31. If you have more questions about donating to the Teen Achievers Camps, please call the YMCA at 727-507-9622.
