At the YMCA, we believe that strong communities are built by people who generously give their time, talents and treasures. This April, we proudly celebrate National Volunteer Month, with a special spotlight on National Volunteer Week from April 21–26. April is a special time when we are able to recognize and honor our generous volunteers who continue to move our mission forward.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the Y. Whether they’re mentoring a teen in one of our programs, coaching the next generation on the basketball court, lending a helping hand at one of our branch community events or guiding our shared vision from a seat on the board, their impact is felt in every corner of our organization. Each hour they give helps us serve more people, create more opportunities and build a stronger, more connected community for all.
We are deeply grateful for the time, energy and passion our volunteers pour into our programs and people. Their service is not just appreciated—it is essential.
Tiffany Brown, Executive Director at the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA, shares, “Our volunteers help move our YMCA forward. They show up with a giving spirit and are dedicated to helping mentor teens, coach our youth sports programs and support our community initiatives like our MLK Day Annual Fish Fry event.”
She adds, “We are very grateful to have such wonderful volunteers at the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA.”
To all of our YMCA volunteers, THANK YOU! Thank you for showing up, caring deeply and making a difference. You inspire us with your dedication and remind us what community truly looks like. This month, and always, we celebrate you.
