A New Chapter for Healthy Living in Citrus County
The Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA recently celebrated the successful opening of its newly renovated Wellness Center, marking the first completed phase of the Building for Good expansion project.
Featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, the new Wellness Center was designed to create a welcoming environment where members of all fitness levels can feel confident working toward their health and wellness goals. The renovation reflects the YMCA's ongoing commitment to providing accessible spaces that support healthier lifestyles throughout Citrus County.
One of the newest additions is EGYM, a personalized fitness experience that automatically adjusts equipment and resistance to each member's individual needs. By removing the guesswork from strength training, EGYM helps members feel more confident while building strength, improving mobility and making steady progress toward their personal wellness goals.
The Wellness Center is just the beginning. Future phases of the Building for Good expansion will include shaded pickleball courts, new multipurpose group exercise studios, an outdoor playground adjacent to the Kids Zone and additional program space. Together, these enhancements will create even more opportunities for individuals and families to stay active, build relationships and strengthen their connection to the YMCA community.
