Neighbors Helping Neighbors

More than 100 cars came through the James P. Gills Family YMCA during a recent Feeding Tampa Bay food distribution, connecting individuals and families throughout the community with food and essential resources.

Held on the first and third Monday of each month, the distributions are made possible through the YMCA’s continued partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay and a dedicated group of volunteers who return each month to serve their neighbors. Their commitment helps create a welcoming experience for every family who comes through.

“I love having the opportunity to give back to our community and being part of such a great group of volunteers who come together each month to make this possible,” said Karen Epting, YMCA council member and volunteer.

Through our partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay and the dedication of volunteers, these ongoing distributions help extend the Y’s impact beyond our facilities and connect local families with resources they can rely on each month.
