Earlier this month, the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA celebrated its 10-year anniversary with members, volunteers, donors and community partners coming together to recognize a decade of impact, connection and opportunity.

What began as a shared vision has grown into a place where people of all ages come together to improve their health, build relationships and feel a sense of belonging. Over the past 10 years, the Citrus YMCA has served more than 53,000 members, provided swim lessons to thousands of children and created opportunities for families through wellness programs, youth development initiatives and community outreach efforts.

The anniversary celebration not only reflected on the branch’s history, but also focused on the future. During the event, plans were shared for the Citrus YMCA expansion project and capital campaign, which will help the branch continue meeting the growing needs of the community.

The expansion project will include new multipurpose spaces for programs and events, enhanced wellness areas, shaded pickleball courts, a reimagined teen center and additional gathering spaces designed to encourage connection, healthy living and engagement for members of all ages.

The capital campaign continues to create opportunities for donors, members and community partners to invest in the future of the YMCA. Every contribution will help expand programs, enhance community spaces and create new opportunities for individuals and families for years to come.

As the Citrus YMCA celebrates this important milestone, the branch remains focused on building a stronger future through programs, partnerships and spaces that help individuals and families thrive.
