The Citrus County Family YMCA proudly hosted its annual Trunk-or-Treat celebration on Saturday, October 25, welcoming families for a fang-tastic evening filled with festive fun, creative costumes and plenty of treats, all in a safe, family-friendly environment.
This year’s event attracted more than 1,200 attendees, as Citrus County families came together to enjoy one of the Y’s most beloved fall traditions. The night was all about the kids, with candy-filled trunks, food trucks, games and imaginative costumes around every corner.
Adding to the excitement, the Y hosted a costume contest, where participants showed off their spookiest, funniest and most creative looks. From tiny pumpkins to full-on stormtroopers, families embraced the Halloween spirit with style and plenty of smiles.
The Y partnered with ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital, numerous community members who went all out decorating their trunks, Citrus County Fire Rescue, Citrus County Schools Police Guardians, EBODS Food Truck, Tasty Cajun Food Truck, The Cobbler Factory Food Truck, Kona Ice and our amazing members, whose generous candy donations helped make the event possible.
For those feeling extra brave, “Spooky Lane” offered a playful, slightly eerie trail adventure, a highlight for adventurous trick-or-treaters.
We’re grateful to all the volunteers, members and the Citrus community for helping us provide this fun fall staple for our young community members. We can’t wait to see you all next year, and at our upcoming Breakfast with Santa event as we move into the holiday season!
