There’s nothing quite like seeing the world through a child’s eyes, especially during the holiday season. This year, the YMCA of the Suncoast embraced that joy, wonder and excitement by hosting a series of festive celebrations for the children and families in our care.
Across our branches, children were treated to magical Breakfast with Santa events, complete with cheerful music, holiday crafts and the unforgettable moment of sharing their wish lists with Santa himself.
In addition to the breakfast festivities, our team hosted hands-on holiday activities, including cookie-decorating parties, where children proudly designed their own frosted masterpieces. Sprinkles, icing and creativity filled the room as children decorated cookies to take home or enjoy on the spot! These simple yet meaningful activities gave kids an opportunity to explore their imaginations, build confidence and enjoy time with their peers in a safe, supportive environment.
At the YMCA of the Suncoast, we’re proud to be here for our youngest community members, rain or shine, summer or winter, whether school is in session or not. From before-and-after-school care and preschool programs to summer camp and special events like these holiday celebrations, the Y is a place where every child feels encouraged and is known by name.
Most importantly, we are honored to be a part of countless childhood memories. From the wonder in a child’s eyes as they meet Santa to the concentration on their face as they design the perfect cookie or holiday craft, these moments reflect what the Y stands for: connection, community and the magic of being a kid.
