The Hernando County Branch YMCA opened its doors to the community on June 3, 1989. It is surrounded by 20 acres of wooded property, which includes an 8-lane Junior Olympic-size pool, full fitness center, cardiovascular and free weight room, aerobics room, kids zone and locker rooms. The outdoor facilities include two lighted softball fields, basketball courts and a preschool playground. Programs include youth and adult sports, summer camp and aquatics.

Saturday 7:00 am-6:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm-6:00 pm
Kids Zone Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am-1:00 pm
Monday - Friday 3:30 pm-9:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 am- 3:00 pm
Sunday 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm
Kids Zone Hours are 8:30 am-9:00 pm when Hernando County Schools are out of school.

Expansion
The YMCA of the Suncoast’s Hernando County Branch has undergone a facility expansion to serve the growing needs of the community. Plans are complete for an 8,000 square foot wellness center, double in size from its original design. With new cardiovascular machines, strength training equipment, and large screen plasma TVs, this brand new wellness center has everything you need for healthy living.
We also have a second group exercise room, Kid’s Zone (babysitting) area that is double the size from its original design, and larger cycling room to accommodate more member participation!
