Support the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program by participating in the 7th Annual Cure on Wheels Bike Challenge on Sunday, November 10th.  Participation is easy. Ride with our team, or donate to the team or individual rider. Join either the 7 Mile Family Fun Race, or the 25 & 62 Mile Events.

Swim Bike and Run for Freedom

The Greater Palm Harbor YMCA hosted the 7th Annual Kids Triathlon “Swim, Bike, Run for Freedom” on Sunday, September 7. This youth triathlon event was sponsored by The Heart & Vascular Institute of Florida. The opening ceremonies were dedicated to all those who served our country and especially to those heroes who perished on September 11, 2001.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. The YMCA of the Suncoast is taking a stand against bullying. The Greater Ridgecrest Y and the Pinellas School Age Program will host the first Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying 5K Run and 1 Mile Kids’ Dash. Show your support and take your stand at the finish line. Start and Finish at the Y.

YMCA Programs Close the Achievement Gap

When the school day ends, children and teens need opportunities to learn and engage in meaningful activities. Their success out of school can have a positive effect on their success in school. Unfortunately, 25% of children in Florida are left unsupervised after 3 p.m. and do not participate in afterschool programs, according to Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit public awareness advocacy organization. To help close this gap, the YMCA of the Suncoast offers a quality afterschool program.
