The Y nutures the potential of every child by ensuring all young people have access to a full range of career ambitions and personal hobbies. Through development programs such as Afterschool Readers and Early Learning Readiness, the Y seeks to provide support and resources to build skills all year.

The Clearwater YMCA is hosting this event to raise money for Camp COAST (Children on the Autism Spectrum Together), a summer day camp for children on the spectrum living in Pinellas County.

10th Anniversary of the Clearwater Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

Join the YMCA of the Suncoast on Tuesday, November 3, for the annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, on Clearwater Beach from 7 to 9 a.m. This is the 10th Anniversary for the YMCA of the Suncoast to host this event, which brings together the community for the purpose of prayer and fellowship. 

Bullying: Fact or Fiction

A report earlier this year from the National Center for Education Statistics stated that one in every four students has been bullied. YMCA of the Suncoast is taking a stand against this behavior with a special event on October 3 during National Bullying Prevention month. We hope you and your family will join the 2nd Annual Run, Walk, Rally Against Bullying with a 5K Run or 1 Mile Kids’ Dash. In the meantime, read these truths and misconceptions about bullying and do what you can to reduce its occurrence.

Quality Afterschool Programs are Key to Developing Youth

When the school day ends, children and teens need opportunities to learn and engage in meaningful activities. Their success out of school can have a positive effect on their success in school. Unfortunately, 19%[1]of children in Florida are left unsupervised after 3 p.m., according to Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit public awareness advocacy organization. 

To help youth reach their full potential, the YMCA of the Suncoast is offering afterschool programming that supports social-emotional, cognitive and physical development.
