#GiveDayTampaBay May 2
Building strong children, families and communities.
On Tuesday, May 2, Give Day Tampa Bay starts its 24-hour online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the Florida Next Foundation. Donations are from midnight-to-midnight for local nonprofits like the YMCA of the Suncoast. They have made giving easy. All it takes is a couple of clicks on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
This #GiveDayTampaBay, we are focused on helping kids reach their full potential. We care about children in our communities and want them to succeed. Often times, when teens are continuously left unsupervised, their "Idle Hands" are likely to become easy targets and they may channel their energy toward misbehavior.
These potential risks are why we have programs such as the Teen Achievers Camp, Youth In Government, Leaders Club, and Leaders in Training Camp at our local YMCA's.
Who can participate?
Everyone! #GiveDayTampaBay™ is a public movement and we encourage everyone to get involved.
Then tell everyone about how you are giving and share your generosity with the world using the hashtag #GiveDayTampaBay in your social media accounts including Twitter and Facebook.
The YMCA of the Suncoast encourages giving back throughout the year, whether through donations, volunteering or in whatever other ways we can. #GiveDayTampaBay™ is more than a moment, it's a movement.
