Summer Camp 2014: World of Adventure

The YMCA of the Suncoast's Summer Camp program has cool themes for kids and teens. Your camper will experience indoor and outdoor games, field trips, and activities that will help them grow in spirit, mind, and body! The YMCA gives young people the tools to enjoy a great summer of fun and friendship in a positive, safe environment. Be sure to check back here soon for some of the best Summer Camps in Tampa Bay! Our tentative date to start summer camp is June 8, 2015.

Emma, our YMCA Summer Camp Girl, had a "World of Adventure" attending camp. Kids like Emma learned so much at more than 80 camps throughout the YMCA of the Suncoast. Here's a recap of our 2014 Summer Camp season with YMCA of the Suncoast CEO and President G. Scott Goyer!

Our summer camps are located in Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. In addition, the Y's Camp Muskogee in Clearwater features summer camp themes like underwater robotics, drum making, earth science and paintball.

Camping teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership—all amidst the traditional fun of camp fires, bugle calls, canoeing, archery, sports, talent shows, and meaningful relationships.

Our Y counselors are dedicated to making sure your child's camp is an amazing experience and a World of Adventure!

Day Camp

This is all of the benefits of traditional camp—new experiences, skill building, a sense of community and lasting friendships. Our camps are located in in rural and urban settings while allowing campers to return home each afternoon. We offer day camps for elementary children and some branch locations have offerings for preschoolers and teens.

Specialty or Theme Camps

Camping is for everyone, and the Y offers camps for teen adventure, music, sports specialties and farm/ranch experiences. In addition, children with developmental disabilities, physical and mental health challenges or other impairments have opportunities through the Y as well. For example, parents talk about CAMP COAST at our Clearwater Branch. It's for kids in the autism spectrum.
