Teen Programs
Youth Leadership Pinellas
The Youth Leadership Pinellas Program seeks to provide information on community resources and issues, develop an excellence in leadership, build teamwork skills, and foster involvement in community services for a diverse group of high school students.
Students must:
- Be in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade and attend an accredited high school in the Tampa Bay Area
- Submit an application with appropriate documentation
- Demonstrate leadership or emerging leadership in school or community activities
- Commit to full participation in the Youth Leadership Pinellas Program
- Be eager to learn and have strong team spirit
- Be academically sound; a B average or better is recommended
- Be willing to follow Pinellas County School Code of Conduct and policy set forth by Youth Leadership Pinellas

Greater Ridgecrest Swim Team
Age: 5 – 18

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays 2-3:30 pm or 4:30-6:00 pm
AND/OR Tuesdays, Thursdays 2-3:30
AND/OR Fridays 2-3:30 pm
Members can choose 2 of the 5 days to practice.
Multi-Cultural Achievers
This program fulfills three distinct, yet related goals.
First, it assists youth achievers in developing strong personal, educational, career goals by placing them in a mentoring relationship with adult achievers.
Second, it provides adult achievers with visibility & recognition both from their peers and the community at large by giving the adult achiever an outlet for community involvement as a positive role model for you.
Third, through participation in the multi-cultural achievers program, sponsoring corporate individuals provide expertise as well as a financial base for the program thereby enhancing their role as leaders in improving the quality of life for all involved.
Age: 8th - 12th grade
Fee: $30 Registration
Teen Leaders
This program instills positive values through developing leadership qualities in teens, building self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment through a series of well-rounded trainings in the areas of physical education, healthy living, and personal growth, while providing service to the Greater Ridgecrest Branch and community. This club will allow teens the opportunity to assist in the instruction of YMCA programs. Teens will participate in Community Service Projects once a month, earning volunteer hours and will help plan teen events and fundraisers throughout the year.
Age: 12 -18
Schedule: Tuesday each month
Fee: $5 per month dues
