Pasco County School Age Programs
School Age Child Care
The YMCA School Age Child Care Program provides quality care for children both before and after school. The Before School Program opens at 7:00 am and operates until school starts. The After School Program operates from the time school is dismissed until 6:00 pm. The YMCA will operate All-Day Programs from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm on all teacher in-service days and Holiday Camps. Each All-Day Program is held at the Gills Family YMCA and children are required to bring a lunch and two snacks. The YMCA and Pasco County Transportation Department will provide all transportation to and from school.
The YMCA School Age Child Care Program structures its days around activity centers which include gym games, arts & crafts, leisure activities, homework time, swimming and open recreation. Our curriculum is unique in that we emphasize character development through activities and an environment supported by these four Core Values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
The YMCA serves the following schools during the 2010-2011 school year:
Day Spring Academy
Deer Park Elementary
Longleaf Elementary

More schools can be served based on interest and enrollment.
