YMCA Birthday Parties
Ages 2+ - Have your fun day at the YMCA Family Pool, Skate Park or Kids Zone. Pricing starts at $135 and are by reservation ONLY.
Parties include YMCA Party Coordinator to assist in planning and execution of party, beginning to end, as well as balloons, paper goods, a YMCA keepsake, and much more. Contact Nayana Garnica at 727-787-9622 for more information.
Swim Lessons
Group swim lessons run through October in weekday and weekend sessions of six classes each. Private and semi-private lessons are also available and run all year round by appointment. Check the front desk for dates and times.
Mom’s Morning Out
Enjoy your morning and let your children enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, circle time, music time, dancing. Please bring lunch and drink, socks, and closed toe shoes.

Make A Splash
The Make A Splash Program was designed to share Joey Pizzano’s love of water with other children with special needs. The program teaches individuals with disabilities to “be safe and have fun in and around the water”. The program is based on 5 safety rules developed specifically for individuals with disabilities. The Joey Pizzano Memorial Fund (JPMF) Make A Splash Water Safety Program in partnership with Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation Services was first piloted in 2001. This program is designed to be extremely valuable for parents in the task of building a child’s self confidence, positive outlook and self esteem. Meets in monthly sessions at the Greater Palm Harbor YMCA.

Junior Striders
Like to run and play games that involve running? This 12-week program educates the participants in the need for physical activity and healthy food choices. Free T-shirt included in first time registration. For additional information please contact Joyce at 727-787-9622. A minimum of 15 participants are needed to hold this program.

Before and After School Care
The Greater Palm Harbor YMCA has before and after school care for Middle Schoolers from Palm Harbor and Carwise Middle Schools and Center Academy. This program runs from 6:30 am to school start time and from dismissal to 6:30 pm, and includes bus service from the school to the Palm Harbor YMCA. It includes daily homework time, physical activity, and fun in a safe and positive environment at the Y. Basketball Leagues
Ages 6 to 7 and 8 to 9 – 10 game season at Palm Harbor Middle School Gymnasium.
Cost: $80 for Facility Members, $110 for Program Members.
Start dates: Wednesday Sep 8th & Wednesday October 27th (Please check with the front desk for specific time and date for organization night)
Ages 6 and 7: Mondays and Wednesdays – 6:00 p.m.

Healthy Family Home
This is a free program, open to the community, designed to help improve your home environment & jumpstart healthy habits that will lead to a healthier way of living, by encouraging families to make small changes on a daily basis.
All participants receive a Starter Kit, which is designed to give the adult in the home, some background information on the three keys to creating a Healthy Family Home: play every day, eat healthy and make family time. All ages are welcome, and this program is free to members. Please call Joyce Chiavetta at 787-9622 if you would like to participate.
PYP Piranhas Swim Team
We are a year-round competitive swim program where a positive and supportive environment is established to help improve stroke, technique, skills and goals for each individual swimmer in the program. PYP will build good people and good swimmers through constant attention to teaching and training.
Each workout group is designed to develop ability levels working toward individual goals which may include reaching Junior Olympic, YMCA Nationals, Sectional or National level qualifying times.

Have your Birthday at the YMCA Kids Zone, available Saturdays and Sundays, 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Your Birthday Party includes two hours in our Kids Zone, as well as a YMCA Party Coordinator to assist in planning and executing your party.

This program is an all inclusive curriculum with emphasis on physical fitness, mental concentration, and spiritual balance through hard discipline, and positive reinforcement. Meets in monthly sessions at the Greater Palm Harbor YMCA.

Volunteer Opportunities
We are actively and continually recruiting for the following positions. Please pick an area of interest and pick up a Volunteer Application at the front desk!
Kids Zone
Kids Zone Attendant: Interested in out-going and responsible volunteers to acquaint children with the rules and activities in the kids zone, take responsibility for the safety and welfare of each child, engage the children in positive playtime, initiate games and role play and read stories.
Kids Zone Programs: Need creative and self-motivated volunteers to assist the Kids Zone staff with Preschool programs, committing to creating a safe and fun environment for our program participants, work one-on-one with preschoolers encouraging them and guiding them during craft time, snack time, and playtime.
Aquatics
Make a Splash Swim Buddy: Looking for responsible caring individuals over the age of 16 to work with special needs children in an aquatic setting to encourage water safety. These “swim buddies” will provide a sense of inclusion to these children that fosters diversity and enhances their lives and our community
Youth Programs
Sport Coaches and Officials: Do you love sports and mentoring kids? Volunteer to coach a team! We are looking for coaches for soccer, basketball and flag football. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to commit for a whole season. Volunteer officials are also needed.
After School Activity Coordinator: Looking for adult role models to be a part of our team. Lead students in an after school club of your choice, possibilities include: cooking, photography, dj skills, model rockets, arts & crafts, etc. We have a small budget for supplies. We are only limited by your imagination.
Administration
Member Services Volunteer: Organized and detail oriented people are needed to join our Membership Services team! Tasks include greeting members, scanning membership cards for facility access, assisting with filing, photocopying, data processing, and organization of systems. Other activities may include assisting with bulk mailings, correspondence, and interacting with YMCA members as needed
Special Event Volunteer: We are looking for adult role models to be a part of our special event team. Help set up, clean up, and participate in special event programming at our YMCA branch and/or offsite. Special events include: International Day, Pool parties, Grape Escape, Kids Fishing Challenge, Annual Giving Campaign Kickoff, Member Appreciation Days, etc.
