Giving to the YMCA
How do you place a dollar amount on caring, honesty, respect and responsibility? What is it worth to keep a child safe, to provide a role model for teens, or create and maintain a healthy lifestyle? The answer: it's priceless.
Yet the YMCA of the
Suncoast, a non-profit human service organization serving Citrus, Hernando, Pasco
and Pinellas counties fills intangible
needs for tens of thousands of people on a daily basis. Charitable contributions to the YMCA enable us to provide financial assistance on a sliding scale. We promise that everyone who qualifies will receive assistance to the greatest extent possible based on the availability of funds.
Here are some ways to invest in the mission of the YMCA of the Suncoast:
KEEPING THE PROMISE:
Annual Giving Campaign
Every year in February, all 9 YMCAs and 50 school sites, comprising the YMCA of the Suncoast conduct their Keeping the Promise Annual Giving Campaign. Volunteers call on fellow YMCA members and friends seeking their support for the YMCA. Proceeds from this campaign underwrite camperships, membership and child care financial aid, and new program initiatives. Every dollar raised through the annual campaign goes to services in your community. You can help the YMCA keep its promise. Charitable contributions to the YMCA enable us to provide financial assistance on a sliding scale. We promise that everyone who qualifies will receive assistance to the greatest extent possible based on the availability of funds. Support the YMCA by contacting your local YMCA.
Special Events
Throughout the year, YMCA branches hold a variety of mission-related special events. Proceeds from these events support the YMCA's outreach efforts. Visit the YMCA on-line calendar of events to learn more.
The Heritage Club
The Heritage Club is a special group of people who believe in the mission of the YMCA of the Suncoast and want to ensure that valuable life-changing programs and services will be continued for future generations. Each member of the Club has included the YMCA in his or her estate plan which will build long range financial stability enabling the Association to meet its mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Volunteer
Human resources are the most valuable gift of all. By sharing your unique ability with the YMCA of the Suncoast, you'll immediately reap the benefits of your involvement by seeing changed lives. Volunteer applications are available.
