What's New at the Bardmoor YMCA?
The Bardmoor Branch has been selected as one of 10 YMCAs in the United States to pilot a cancer survivorship collaborative with the Lance Armstrong Foundation. A key collaborative goal is to demonstrate that YMCAs can effectively involve cancer survivors in research-based programs that focus on specific wants, needs and interests related to exercise.
In September, the Bardmoor YMCA will be hosting a seminar presented by Anna Schwartz, a cancer survivor and the author of Cancer Fitness. Schwartz is one of a growing number of researchers who believe people in cancer treatment can greatly benefit from exercise. She will be discussing a variety of topics related to wellness, including how exercise can lift patients' moods, dramatically reduce fatigue and improve self-image.

Bardmoor Branch YMCA Facilities
The Bardmoor Branch YMCA is located at the northeast corner of Starkey and Bryan Dairy roads in the Morton Plant Mease Outpatient Center. Opened in 1998, this 12,000 square-foot facility caters to the health and wellness needs of over 4,000 individual and family members. Stop in and visit us!
