Hey, Teens! Need a place to hang out and have fun with your friends? Come enjoy some Hang Time at the Y! You can play sports or games after school, get help with homework, join our Teen Leaders Club, or just chat with your friends. If you need somewhere to go, the YMCA has a place for you!

Youth Leadership Pinellas

Youth Leadership Pinellas (YLP) is a joint program of Leadership Pinellas and the YMCA of the Suncoast.  Leadership Pinellas is non-partisan and in no way is a political activist group.  The daily operation, class organization, and program management of Youth Leadership Pinellas is managed through a partnership with the YMCA of the Suncoast.

Youth Leadership Pinellas is a seven-month program, operating from November through May.  Participants meet for five full day sessions, plus an orientation retreat and graduation event.  The program is run separate from any school-sponsored program.

Teen Fitness Training

Building strong kids, one at a time. What is this program? It is a complete four-hour training course, teaching youth (Ages 11-14) how to exercise effectively and safely. Come and build self -confidence for life. Program includes: Four separate one-hour training sessions. Training on Cybex and Cardiovascular equipment as appropriate. TeenShapers

Age: 13-18 (other ages may be considered on a case-by-case basis)

This is an 8-week program, sponsored by All Children's Hospital in cooperation with the Bardmoor Branch YMCA, encouraging teens to do their personal best and reach their own goals for weight loss, weight management and physical activity.

As a part of this program, the Bardmoor Branch will provide memberships to TeenShapers participants free of charge during the program. Each week, YMCA staff will lead participants through a wide range of fun, low-impact fitness activities while supporting them on their way to a healthier lifestyle.

In addition, members of the All Children's staff will guide discussions on topics such as body image, motivation, restaurant etiquette, stress management and other psychosocial behaviors associated with proper nutrition.

Teen Leaders Club

Leaders' Club is a program that helps develop leadership and communication skill in young adults. It offers young individuals the opportunity to develop friendships while working together in support of the YMCA and the community. Leaders' Club will reinforce values through the four aspects of character development: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. The club meets every Tuesday.
